Schools Spiritual Wellbeing Trainings

We offer the following trainings to schools. Fully funded. No cost to your school.

Our trainings deliver spiritual wellbeing concepts and practices directly relevant to your school, staff and pupils.
Before coming to your school, we will have a preliminary conversation to understand your particular circumstances.
Our trainings are always workshop style: a mixture of formal delivery and guided activities.
We are a fully funded project and there is no cost to your school.

We deliver in these three formats:

 

Half-Hour Taster

  • Cultural context – a changing world.
  • Appropriate language and concepts for people of all faiths and none.
  • Today’s Context Infographic.
  • Spiritual Wellbeing Practices Infographic.
  • Somatic Awareness for Spiritual Wellbeing Infographic.
  • Science and evidence for the wellbeing benefits of spirituality.
  • Importance of teachers’ soft skills – compassion, care and relationships.
  • First steps for actioning in the classroom.

 

One Hour Taster

All of the above plus :

  • Spiritual wellbeing practices that staff can use and model.
  • How these practices can be (a) integrated into planning; (b) arise serendipitously.
  • Deeper understanding of the mind-body connection and how it relates to emotional intelligence and self-regulation.
  • Biophylia, the wellbeing benefits of the natural world.
  • How to use your daily life for moments of nurturing retreat.

 

3 x 2.5 hour Training Sessions

All of the above plus:

  • Person-centred, student-centred approach to spiritual connection.
  • The many gateways to spiritual connection and experience.
  • The many types of spiritual experience.
  • The many names for the source of spiritual experiences.
  • Mapping the physiological benefits.
  • Mapping the psychological benefits.
  • Modelling and relational practices.
  • Integrating mindfulness and compassion practices into a busy life.
  • Spiritual skills for managing crises and challenges.
  • Building on teachers’ soft skills.
  • Planning for implementation in the classroom – curriculum specifics.
  • Planning for implementation across the school.
  • Integrating with existing curriculums, including PSHE.
  • Integrating into existing school timetables (form/tutor groups etc.)
  • Integrating into assemblies/collective worship.
  • Engaging guardians, parents and the whole school community.
  • Ongoing support and resources

We are also funded to develop resources that can be directly relevant to your school and developed in partnership with you.
