William Bloom
William Bloom PhD, CertEd leads the Spiritual Companions Trust. A respected pioneer in modern spirituality and holistic wellbeing, he has written several influential books, including 'The Endorphin Effect' and T'he Power of Modern Spirituality.' He gained his PhD in identity politics at the LSE. His background also includes a 2-year spiritual retreat and 10 years working with special needs teenagers and adults in central London.

Diana Forrester-Brown is our Administrator. With a wealth of experience in administration and a holistic approach to spirituality, she ensures that structure, organisation, and reliability that underpin the smooth running of our programmes and service. Her work is characterised by meticulous attention to detail, calm presence, and a deep understanding of our mission. Alongside her administrative leadership, she continues to nurture connections that sustain wellbeing, growth, and meaningful collaboration.
Sophie Dearborn Bloom
Sophie Dearborn Bloom
Sophie Dearborn Bloom is an experienced primary school teacher who has joined the Spiritual Companions Trust to coordinate our National Schools Spiritual Wellbeing Project. She leads on developing resources and liaising with schools. She is a fully trained Thrive practitioner and also has a business management degree from Cardiff University.

Ani Bustos
Ani Bustos
Ani is our social media manager. She is a qualified spiritual companion and coach who believes that everyone deserves a supportive space to grow, heal, and reconnect with their inner wisdom. Her work is shaped by lived experience, years of community service, and a deep relationship with her spiritual practice. She develops and creates content that reflects the charity’s commitment to inclusive spiritual wellbeing. Ani is passionate about making spiritual wellbeing practical and inclusive so people feel understood and empowered wherever they are on their path.
Nicola Eccles
Nicola Eccles
Nicola Eccles PhD is our Director of Research for our National Schools Spiritual Wellbeing Project, monitoring implementation and evaluation, as well as thought leadership, content writing and external communications. She has worked for many years as an academic specialising in health psychology and behaviour change. She has designed, implemented and evaluated health interventions with schools, hospitals and councils across the UK to understand what works, for whom and when to make sustained and effective changes to mental and physical health. For the last few years Nicola has specialised in digital health innovation, specifically enhancing psychological wellbeing using behaviour change tools within digital apps. With a strong belief that mental health is a basic human right Nicola has a passion to increase skills, self-awareness and mental health literacy across communities and organisations.

Pete Brown
Pete Brown
As Chair of Trustees, Pete Brown plays a central role in providing, vision, and stability for the Spiritual Companions Trust. With extensive experience as a senior consultant and programme director, he brings strategic insight and professional leadership to the organisation. His work ensures that our values are upheld and that our projects are delivered with effectiveness and integrity. Combining practical expertise with a commitment to spiritual wellbeing, Pete supports both the Trustees and the wider team in fulfilling our mission.
Carl Stonier
Carl Stonier
Carl Stonier PhD brings decades of professional experience in both nursing and counselling to the Spiritual Companions Trust. Following a distinguished 28-year nursing career, he transitioned into counselling, completing his doctorate on the relationship between emotional and physical health. His background includes having been Chief Executive of National Cancer Support. His wisdom, leadership, and commitment strengthen our mission and values.
Dorothy Turner
Dorothy Turner
Dorothy Turner brings a rare combination of professional and holistic expertise to the Spiritual Companions Trust. A practising lawyer in Bedford, she also has many years of experience in the field of spirituality and wellbeing. Her training and practice as a yoga teacher, shamanic counsellor, colour therapist, energy healer, reiki master, and druid reflect her deep commitment to a holistic approach. Dorothy’s breadth of knowledge and wisdom enriches the Trust’s vision, values, and community.

With extensive experience in higher education and professional development, he brings valuable expertise in learning, curriculum design, and training delivery. Pete’s thoughtful guidance and professional insight help shape our projects and sustain the quality of our mission to integrate spirituality into everyday life.
Anna Warhurst
Anna Warhurst
Anna is an integrative psychotherapist and Project Manager with over ten years’ experience leading service design and community development work across the charity and government sector. She led the redesign of peer support services for the national single-parent charity Gingerbread, developed a community action strategy for St Christopher’s Hospice, and has delivered large-scale transformation and strategy projects across local and central government, including for the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office and Surrey County Council.
She qualified with Spiritual Companions Trust in 2019 and facilitates retreats for personal and spiritual development in the UK and abroad. She is passionate about integrating embodied spirituality, psychological healing, and systems change to support individual and collective transformation.

John Abdey
John Abdey
John Abdey is a Spiritual Companions Educator with a background in public service and spiritual community leadership. Originally working in the civil service, John went on to spend many years as a senior member of the Findhorn Foundation. He brings deep insight into western and masonic spirituality, drawing on decades of experience in both professional and spiritual settings. His teaching integrates structure, tradition, and spiritual exploration, helping students engage with their own journeys of understanding and growth.
Andrea Klein
Andrea Klein
Andrea Klein is a Spiritual Companions Educator, healer, and mindfulness-based coach with a passion for bringing spirituality into the mainstream. A linguist with a background in the film industry and secondary education, Andrea retrained extensively in mid-life to specialise in healing, mindfulness, energy psychology, EFT, and NLP. She now supports individuals from all walks of life in developing their spiritual and emotional literacy, empowering them to make transformative choices and deepen into Being. Through her teaching and coaching, Andrea offers a grounded yet expansive approach to personal growth and spiritual awareness.
Martine Moorby
Martine Moorby
Martine Moorby is a coach, and holistic wellbeing practitioner with a foundation in education and leadership. Having worked in secondary education as Head of Department, Martine transitioned into holistic coaching and wellbeing. She now teaches Spiritual Companions courses as well as Reiki and Emotional Freedom Techniques. In her one-to-one sessions and group teaching, Martine creates supportive environments where clients and students can reflect, build awareness, and maximise their healing potential. Her integrated approach combines educational rigour with compassionate spiritual practice.

Since completing her training in 1984, Angela has built a well-established reflexology practice in Norwich, England. Through Pathways Reflexology, she has helped countless individuals enhance their wellbeing. As a Spiritual Companions Educator, Angela integrates her healing experience with a holistic approach to spiritual development, offering students practical skills and compassionate support as they explore their own spiritual paths.

Izzy Valenti
Izzy Valenti
Izzy Valenti brings over four decades of experience in holistic wellbeing, education, and compassionate care. She originally trained as a general nurse before moving into the voluntary sector, where she founded her own training company, delivering specialist programmes across social care and healthcare settings on a wide range of disability‑related issues.
Alongside this professional path, Izzy has been teaching yoga and meditation for more than 40 years. She currently offers bi‑weekly classes and hosts monthly women’s circles in the Highlands of Scotland, creating nurturing spaces for connection, reflection, and embodied practice.

Sarah Jane Williamson
Sarah Jane Williamson
Sarah Jane Williamson has been teaching spiritual practice and activism for more than 30 years. Her background includes senior roles in education, public health management, and the charity sector. Alongside this, she has cultivated a deep engagement with Druidism and Western mystical traditions. She is also a qualified leadership coach and equine-assisted learning facilitator, exploring how human–equine relationships can enrich our connection with the natural world. Her teaching integrates practical skills with profound spiritual insight, supporting students and clients alike.

Hoppi Wimbush is a healer, educator, and founder of the Lammas Earth Centre, dedicated to raising consciousness through spirituality and nature connection. Through her consultancy, healing work, and teaching, Hoppi delivers powerful transformational programmes for individuals and organisations. She combines education, spirituality, and deep nature connection to inspire growth, self-awareness, and healing. At the Lammas Earth Centre, she continues her mission of awakening consciousness and guiding others towards greater harmony with themselves, their communities, and the earth.
