Overview
Four Units
Person Centred Spiritual Practice
Explore and develop your own spiritual wellbeing practice. Learn how to facilitate a spiritual wellbeing practice for others.
Reflective Practice and Self-Awareness in the Context of Spiritual Development
Develop emotional intelligence, mindfulness and compassionate self-care skills
Science and Context
Understand and be able to discuss the history, culture and science of how spirituality and medicine are entwined.
Spiritual Care in PracticeLearn and put into action the skills of whole-body listening, compassionate care and spiritual companionship to others.
The qualification is Ofqual-regulated and awarded by the Crossfields Institute.

NB
All participants must have previously completed the Secrets of Spiritual Health & Happiness course, which will give you a substantial taste of the diploma course and its core concepts.
Attendance: the diploma course is interactive so students must attend the live sessions. Recordings will be made of essential teachings.

Assessment
Assessment is via an online portfolio system.
You will be asked to write short reflective pieces and mini-essays.
You must be able to attend all sessions; and also be available for three tutorial sessions and eight meetings in a small supportive ‘home group.’ (The timing of these dates will be arranged with you.)
If you do not already have one, you are expected to conduct a daily spiritual wellbeing practice, which is part of our first Unit of learning.

£1800.
£250 deposit secures your place.

Concessions — There are no bursaries but concessions are available depending on circumstances, especially for engaged activists under 35 in employment in the education, health and campaigning sectors. To apply for a concession please go through the application process below and at the same time add a note explaining your situation.

Applications
Participants must be 18 or over. While there are no formal academic requirements, relevant life and/or professional experience is a prerequisite. A mainstream CV (education and work history) is required as part of the application process. We are particularly keen that students demonstrate their emotional literacy and a welcoming attitude to diversity and self-management.

Team
The course is led by two very experienced tutors both of whom were involved in the development of this qualification.
William Bloom is the founder/director of the Spiritual Companions Trust and author of many pioneering books including ‘The Power of Modern Spirituality’ and ‘The Endorphin Effect.’
Sarah Jane Williamson is currently CEO of the Mare and Foal Sanctuary. She has extensive experience of spirituality and health. sarahjanewilliamson.com
We are also very fortunate to have three more experienced support tutors.

Izzy Valenti is a Spiritual Companions Educator. She had a long career as a senior nurse and then moved into training and her own consultancy firm. She is also a yoga practitioner and teacher.

John Abdey is a Spiritual Companions educator. Originally in the civil service John was a senior member of the Findhorn Foundation for many years. He has a particular interest in western and masonic spirituality.

Angela Sellens Drake is a Spiritual Companions Educator. She has been working with Reflexology since she trained in 1984 and has a well-established practice in Norwich, England. Pathways Reflexology.
